Tashoes is a self-created business/project that I started back in 2016. The idea came to me after painting a few pairs of personalised shoes for friends. I began creating a brand around my business including logos, leaflets and business cards. Tashoes then gained followers through social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram, where I post the latest designs as well as any offers. All branded content is designed by myself, as well as the Tashoes website and social media accounts.
The majority of my customers already have an idea of what they want their shoe to look like – it’s then up to me to turn this idea into something fun and unique. All designs are my own and are hand-painted with precision and care. Feel free to head over to the Tashoes website to see my work!
A seaside photo board based on my British seaside character ‘Dave’ – (see Big Dave’s Guide to Blackpool). The board was made from MDF wood, cut into shape and painted with acrylics.
Big Dave’s Guide to Blackpool is the result of many visits to some of Britain’s dreariest seaside towns. The 36 page magazine is a parody travel guide to the Northworst town of Blackpool, filled with puns, pessimism and crude humour. The guide contains made-up places to visit and stay, useless tips, parody advertisements and comical illustrations throughout. The stereotypically British ‘Big Dave’ is guaranteed to make you giggle and smirk as he prepares you for your less than mediocre trip to Blackpool.
A parody A-Z book of the British seaside. Contains crude humour.
A comic involving sloths and bicycles and created in the format of a newspaper. The comic tells the story of an unreliable pie takeaway service that uses a sloth to deliver its goods. Complete with puns and comical references, the paper even has its own page 3 model. Enjoy!
Foreground images drawn in fineliner and scanned in, background imagery created using a mixture of collage and brushes in Photoshop.
The comic printed as a newspaper:
A set of products designed to make a shopping trip that little bit simpler. Design were inspired by the bright and cheesy visuals & colours of the ‘noughties’, as well as the Memphis Design movement.
